Who we are: Metro Cinema is an upscale, private cinema concept from the founder of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. In addition to movie screenings, the 20 private suites are also available for meetings, events, sports, karaoke and gaming. This is the very first private cinema concept in the United States and will feature upscale, contemporary dining as well as a fantastic wine list and cocktail program. We are looking for hospitality-centric lovers of great film, great food and great drinks to help us usher in the newest innovation in the cinema industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain cleanliness of Back of House and Front of House areas Clean and sort all dishes and flatwear Wash and disinfect appliances, work surfaces, floors, walls Replenish cleaning materials, soap, paper towels and toilet paper Perform all other duties as assigned Comply with Company and Department of Health established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards; observe proper food preparation and handling techniques and safety protocols Dispose of all trash, cardboard, etc. from kitchen and service areas as required Exercise sound judgement taking into account safety, guest/co-workers needs, and environmental factors Keep work area neat and clean at all times to ensure DOH standards are met Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas and back of house areas by emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, etc. Perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks as directed Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy Set up and breakdown station to specification; perform cleaning tasks at the conclusion of each service and prepare for the following service Clean and stock bathrooms MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 1 years experience as a Porter, Dishwasher, Janitor, or similar role. Dependable, hard-working, and punctual a must. Ability to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods of time as required to perform essential job functions Able to lift 50+ lbs. Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business Organizational skills Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook Must have a positive attitude and work well within a team Benefits: $18/hr Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with matching.
